Disney’s California Adventure
M.J. Dean played a significant role as the drywall contractor in the construction of Disney's California Adventure, contributing to the creation of immersive and captivating environments within the theme park. Our expert team meticulously installed drywall and architectural finishes, seamlessly integrating them into various attractions, structures, and interiors. The project aimed to transform the landscape into a magical and engaging experience for visitors, capturing the essence of California's iconic landmarks and Disney's beloved stories. M.J. Dean's commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail played a vital role in enhancing the visual and aesthetic aspects of the theme park, ensuring that guests are transported to a world of imagination and wonder.
1999
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino
The first Mandalay Bay project consisted of a new 43-story hotel tower, a new 7,000-car, pre-cast parking structure and 374,780 sq. ft. of retail space. Set atop 137 pilings, ranging from 3 to 5 feet in diameter, and up to 100 ft. deep, the tower was built from cast-in-place concrete columns and post-tensioned floors. The project took 75,000 cu. yds. of concrete to complete and is roughly half the size of the Empire State Building. The first tower has 1.3 million sq. ft. overall with 15,000 sq. ft. devoted to a rooftop restaurant and bar, and a 24,000 sq. ft. second floor spa and health club. The project has a total of 3,700 rooms with separate living area and bedrooms. The property boasts a tram station, aquarium, administration facilities, restaurants and a showroom. M.J. Dean was called back to be the general contractor for a new project titled THEhotel, a 43-story all-suite tower, which added an additional 1,117 rooms to the property. This luxurious boutique hotel features rooms that have separate living and bedroom spaces, starting at 750 sq. ft. This project also included the Bathhouse Spa and THEgym, various restaurant spaces, including Mix restaurant and lounge on the top floor, and retail space. THEhotel was completed in 2004. Klai Juba Architects designed both projects. M.J. Dean was the prime subcontractor performing all preconstruction and project management services, and self-performed concrete work, metal stud framing, drywall, and painting.
1999
Four Seasons Las Vegas
The Four Seasons Las Vegas is a hotel within a hotel, occupying the top five levels of the Mandalay Bay. Designed by Klai Juba Architects, the Four Seasons offers luxurious, non-gaming retreat just steps from world-class gaming, entertainment and nightlife. M.J. Dean took Klai Juba’s vision and made it a reality, completing this boutique hotel, with 424 residential style guest rooms, including 86 suites, in March 1999. Set on the 35th to 39th floors of the Mandalay Bay tower, the Four Seasons is exclusively accessed by express elevators. M.J. Dean was the prime subcontractor performing all preconstruction and project management services, and self-performed concrete work, metal stud framing, drywall, and painting. The exterior of the buildings consist of EIFS and glass skin.
1998
AGO Restaurant
M.J. Dean proudly undertook the construction of AGO, the elegant Italian trattoria named after its celebrated executive chef partner, Agostino Sciandri. The restaurant officially opened its doors at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, following an exclusive grand opening reception on March 3, hosted by Robert DeNiro and Sciandri. AGO Las Vegas features authentic Tuscan-style Italian fare, emphasizing light and simple cooking with signature dishes such as Burrata con Fagiolini, Tagliatelle al Ragu Antico, and Branzino ai Ferri con Pane Profumato. The restaurant's design by Ralph Gentile includes a sleek and welcoming lounge and an intimate dining area with an open show kitchen. The successful completion of AGO Las Vegas stands as a testament to our dedication to delivering exceptional hospitality spaces, offering guests a memorable dining experience in the heart of Las Vegas.

Luxor Hotel & Casino Expansion
M.J. Dean Construction assumed a pivotal role in the remarkable Luxor Hotel & Casino Expansion, overseeing the construction of twin towers that introduced an impressive addition of 2,000 new hotel rooms to this renowned Las Vegas establishment. The expansion aimed to meet the growing demand for accommodations within the bustling entertainment hub while enhancing the overall guest experience. Our team's expertise ensured the seamless integration of architectural designs and construction realities, resulting in a monumental project that not only increased the resort's capacity but also enriched its iconic presence on the Las Vegas Strip.

Monte Carlo Resort Casino
M.J. Dean spearheaded the building of the Monte Carlo Resort Casino, a comprehensive project that redefined luxury and entertainment in the heart of Las Vegas. Our expert team meticulously crafted an elevated resort experience, seamlessly blending modern design, top-tier hospitality, and vibrant entertainment options. The Monte Carlo Resort Casino was built to provide guests with a refined and immersive destination, featuring upscale accommodations, a variety of dining options, captivating shows, and a lively casino atmosphere.
